i have yet to post pictures of my trip to dallas with my pril! now i'm doing it.
in the car... in the car... where i smoked my first cigar... oh wait, wrong song. tinkle, tinkle, in the car... no, still not right. i gotta say, that was a long drive. but with the help of my ipod, very large sunglasses, and some very interesting road signs we made it through.
had so much fun in dallas! it was a good long drive, but with my prilly-poo at the wheel, it wasn't that bad. we ate dinner friday night, went shopping on saturday, and church on sunday. i know i said i would post more... but, there's a game today, and i'm antsy.
april and i are headed to dallas tomorrow. not sure about what time we're leaving. but i know it won't be three in the afternoon. more about the weekend after it has happened.
after spending too much time wondering what to wear yesterday, i saw this- and knew it was ripe for the picking. it was fool proof. the perfect shirt for a friday. i don't know how it got in my closet. goodwill? thirft shop? mom? no clue. i guess it grew legs and came to me. but- i decided it was a good day to make "wear the ugliest shirt you own day." i wore the ugliest shirt i own yesterday- and got a few compliments. i was amazed. it brightened my day.
so, i entered a photo contest, which i am now a SEMI-FINALIST in... with a chance to win $1,000 or $10,000. and the people sponsoring the contest sent me a letter letting me know that they have chosen my photo to be in a national publication called Endless Journeys to be published in winter 2008. and, I AM SO EXCITED!
happy birthday mom- hope this one is as good as the last 8 years of 39th birthdays. just think next year you'll finally be evenly divisible by 2, 5, and 10- which will make those of us OCD in the family very happy. prilly poo- you're twenty, so am i. now neither of us are teenagers any more. weird isn't it? and in only 6 years we'll start to deny our age, just like our moms have for the past 20. :)
